A-1 Majestic Sound is a professionally licensed business, owned and operated by mobile dj icon Jay Rock. Jay has been in the entertainment field for twenty-four years, and a top-notch mobile disc jockey for the last seventeen. That's a lot of experience! He's performed at all of the top wedding venues in North Florida, and is widely respected as a master of his trade. Jay spent four and a half years in the U.S. Army as a saxophone player, and performed in two bands: The 5th Army Band in San Antonio, Texas, and the 3rd Infantry division Band in Wurzburg, Germany. After completion of his term of service, he majored in Broadcasting at Buffalo State College, and enjoyed great success as a college radio disc jockey. "Jay Rock's All Request Express" was the highest rated college show in Buffalo, and Jay's ability to entertain in a unique, personable manner became more and more evident.

Upon graduation, Jay hosted a variety of radio shows around the Buffalo, New York area, but after missing the live interaction with his audience, he started moonlighting as a mobile disc jockey for weddings, parties, and banquets. This gave him instant gratification and it wasn't long before he realized the mobile dj scene and Jay Rock were a perfect fit!

Jay formed his own dj company, Majestic Sound, in 1993, and while it was becoming extremely successful, the call for a warmer climate and coastal lifestyle prompted him to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida in 1996.

It didn't take Jay long to get rolling in North Florida! He's now done hundreds of wonderful events around the area, from birthday parties, to anniversaries, to numerous corporate affairs. His main love however is wedding receptions. Majestic Sound became A-1 Majestic Sound with a mission to provide the bride and groom with high quality entertainment at a very reasonable price. Jay truly appreciates his clients, he helps coordinate their event and does everything in his power to assure their big day becomes everything they dreamed it would be!
